Leadership Philosophy

Some of my closest friendships started in conference rooms.

01

People first

When you spend 40+ hours a week with people who share your passions and challenge your thinking, they become more than colleagues — they become cheerleaders, sounding boards, and sometimes lifelong friends. I lead for that.

02

Do hard things together

There's a trust that only comes from pulling an all-nighter for an impossible launch deadline — and from someone showing up with your favorite coffee order without asking. I build teams that do hard things, together.

03

Celebrate loudly

A launch worth shipping is a launch worth celebrating. I make sure wins — big and small — get celebrated, not just noted.

04

Keep it human

Know the professional aspirations and the go-to karaoke song. Remind people to get offline and make it to their kid's baseball game. Work should feel less like work and more like home.

First 90 Days

Listen. Build. Scale.

Here's how I'd spend the first three months — listening first, always.

Days 1–30

Listen

  • Have coffee and listen and learn from new colleagues across sales, partner, product and finance.
  • Follow the pipeline — where does it really come from, and where does it quietly leak?
  • Get to know the tech stack, the data, and how ready it actually is for AI (no judgment, we've all got a few dusty tools).

Days 31–60

Build

  • Sit down with sales and agree on one number we both believe in — plus how often we'll check in.
  • Fix what's annoying, retire what's dusty, and pilot AI-assisted targeting where it saves people real time.
  • Put the right people next to the right problems, so every part of the plan has an obvious owner.

Days 61–90

Scale

  • Take what's working and turn the volume up across segments and partners.
  • Build an executive dashboard that tells the honest truth about spend, pipeline, and revenue.
  • Share a 12-month plan we can all rally behind — budget, targets, and a few milestones worth celebrating.

What I love

Some of my closest friendships started in conference rooms, Google Meet hangouts, and Slack channels. One of those work friends recommended the Dungeon Crawler Carl series — my family read all eight books. I love fishing in Alaska, a perfect latte, a good walk-and-talk on a sunny day, and smiling back at someone who smiles at me. I celebrate a launch like it's the biggest win of the year — and I love getting the call from my son and Kelly that they need back-up care with my grandson. When someone needs help, I can only be so lucky for them to call me.

What I stand for

That work should feel like home. Teams that share passions, challenge each other's thinking, and do hard things together become more than colleagues — and the best part of this business is that you get to build that kind of place on purpose.

The long view

Thirty years in marketing — the last ten as the top marketing leader for high-growth tech companies. CMO and SVP titles at Innovid, Criteo, Verizon Media / Yahoo, and SmartMedia Technologies, always the most senior marketer in the room. It started at Intel, driving revenue through global partners on the Intel Inside program — the co-marketing discipline I still run on today.
